Was born and raised in Montana where she uses a lot of her memory of the beautiful landscape to inspire each piece of artwork that she does.
Katie From the age of 7 has playing drums and writing her own songs traveling with such groups as "The Dalton Gang" "Country With A Touch Of Brass" "Midnight Rose",
Artist Katie Klier has been working with metal and perfecting her own technique for over 10 years.
Starting off with a sheet of cold roll metal, She hand cuts each piece with a plasma cutter, This takes a steady hand and weeks of time and patience. Each piece is welded together then grinded with different grades of disks. The coloring of the metal takes hours of precise timing and grinding.
This technique has been proven to give the depth and 3 d quality that Katie looks for in her work making each peice unusual and a one of a kind pieces of art.
Katie now lives in Edom, Texas and has a gift and gallery, called
Mountain Magic Gift & Gallery
where she displays her artwork and fills her shop with candles that she makes soaps and lotions, and gift for all occasions.
